I seem to remember hearing that flies or bugs can be a problem in June. Is that true and if so, is it one state/area or all over the northeastern area?

You want em? we got em!!. Mostly mid May to early June in my area Ne MA. it really does depend on the spring weather. If its rainy, we get tons of Mosquitoes and black flies. On the coast we get green heads, ouch nastiest bite you can get.
