I'd probably take 11 to 2 to 91. The only traffic you might hit would be around Hartford and Springfield.

Took the 91 South on Friday, 2 1/2 hrs from Springfield to Enfield (A washout I believe, all three lanes south were swung over to Rt .5 south.Arrgghh)......wound up on the 2 and the 395 to Niantic.

Decided not to return by the same route and instead, Rt 1 >> 4 >> 95 >> L.L. Bean's for the night.

Thanx for the reply...........j

The best way we have found is up RT I-395 North, to RT I-90 (Mass Turnpike) West, to RT I-91 North. No lights.

We routinely make the run from Coventry RI to St Johnsbury VT that way in about 4 hours or so, towing.
