NJ turnpike garden state? bridges?

My is 12.5 and going up the NJ turnpike. I want to go to garden state up tp NY and over the bridge north of NYC into Ct and then home. Hate the damn GW with its delay etc.

Will Garden state accomadate 12.5?

There are two overpasses on the Garden State Pkwy. near mile post 130 that have low clearances. They are not bad. If you stay in the middle lane you will have no problem. I travel it several times a year.

I'm 12'7" and have done it several times. As was started need to not be in outside lanes on a few of the low overpasses north of mile 130.

Get off the turnpike at exit 10 and take 287 around the mess and tolls. Couple miles longer but much easier, nicer, less expensive drive. Take all the way to Tappan Zee

If going to North CT., From 287 take 87 north to 84 east. You miss all the traffic.
