North Cascade Highway

Morning, my wife and I bought an 06 Intrigue 45’ last fall. We are getting accustomed the first year with local trips. Is the North Cascade Highway road trip easily accessible for something this big? Has anyone made the trip? Thank you for your comments and advice.

Hwy is a good 2 lane, curvy here and there (!), and a few high passes that shouldn't be a big deal for your RV. Only other thing I will say is try and plan your stops, since your rig is BIG, esp in the Nat Park campgrounds!!! If you're into dry camping, there are lots of spots in the Winthrop area in the woods along the Chewuch River that can handle your RV size.

Living in Federal Way the first trip with our old 33' class A was up to Paradise on Mount Rainier and the 2nd trip was over to Leavenworth on 90 to 97 and back via US 2. Talk about being broken in to handle anything after that !

The North Cascades Hwy is an easy trip with beautiful views but few places to stop in an RV. When you get to the east side plan to stop in the fun little town of Twisp, where Riverbend RV park can hold any size rig.

You may want to check YouTube. When I was researching the Washington portion of our 2017 National Parks trip, I found at least a couple of kind souls had posted videos of the highway. The North Cascades scenery is absolutely magnificent - enjoy your trip!

Thank you all. I think the plan is to enjoy the drive and stay at Riverbend. They do have the accommodations we need and like for that matter. I do enjoy the drive and appreciate your feedback.
