Northwest Passage Scenic Byway?

Lewiston to Missoula over US Route 12?

As anyone made this trip in the summer? Just wondered if it's a good choice in a 43' coach?
Have fuel stops? Camping opportunities?

Did the Google Street View.....no a lot of shoulders.

Trouble spots?

I'm thinking it will be better than I-90 thru Spokane.

What say ye?

Fill up in either Lewiston or Missoula..no need to stop enroute. No, there are not a lot of pull-offs but it's a gorgeous drive. Hwy 12 follows the river so it's curvy but it's an easy drive. Try not to do it on Friday or Sunday, if possible. Lots of weekend travelers. Have a good trip.

I agree ... beautiful drive ... some interesting side trips ... Large dam ... Nez Perce native American site (if you are a Lewis and Clark buff) ...

Don't miss the boat ride on the Snake River ... this is a must ...

The Smokejumpers in Missoula is a very interesting place to visit ...
