I have only had the pleasure of going over the Grape Vine once and that was hauling 40,000 of beef, (not swinging thank heaven) I swore never again, "BUT" now that I have a MH I would like to try it in that. Isn't that what RVing is all about? The thrill of adventure? Going places you normally wouldn't go... Minnesota has no Mountains, I don't even think we have hills I would look forward to it.

Thanks to all for the info. Think I will go I-5 over to 58.. stay at Orange Grove RV Park, and on down I-10 to Indio.. my sister has to stop at Spotlight 29 for the nite then on to Q on Wed.

the spaceport at the mohave airport is interesting. the main airport has a nice coffee shop. the old aircraft junkyard is interesting too. you can tour it in a van for about $5.
there are interesting campgrounds in the area. one of the campgrounds is on a landing strip used by gliders.
