I'm planning to travel to Joplin, MO via I-44 to Oklahoma City and I-35 through Waco and Oklahoma City. I'll be headed north on Sunday, March 29 and south on Friday, April 3. I know I-35 is under construction and perhaps closed to only 1 lane near Paul's Valley, OK. Has anyone taken this route recently? If so, where there any major delays? US 177 or US 377 would bypass Oklahoma City and the lane closure at Paul's Valley. I'll be in a 45' motorhome. Is either US 177 or 377 suitable for MH travel?

I was just in the Ardmore area, and I frequent OKC. I haven't seen any show stoppers.

Lots of construction on I-35 on the north side of Ft. Worth, and just north of Waco and on into town. You could miss the construction in Ft. Worth by taking I-35E and going through Dallas, but the traffic can be murder that way as well... and I believe there's some construction through the Dallas route, but I don't get through there very often.

Yes, be prepared for gridlock in North Fort Worth. Sometimes traffic is breezing through, but most times is backed up. They are building Express Lanes throughout the city. But suffering the traffic there will probably still be better than going I35E through Dallas.

South on 35 w Ft worth will be backed up at 287 not sure if that is race weekend at tms or not I would check race schedule and not get within 100 that weekend35 e Dallas is backup at 635 at anytime other than1_3 am I would go 35w if no races and not rush our Friday good to go anytime Sunday on 35w

Been a few months since I have been on 35 in that area of Oklahoma, but last time construction was no issue. Going through the DFW metro area...I would take 35E through Dallas instead of 35W through Ft. Worth. Normally it would be the opposite, but there is only a short stretch of construction on 35E that should not be a problem on the dates you specify for travel. (Well, maybe a more correct description is there will possibly be less back up than in Ft. Worth, but I drive it every day)
