Old Spanish Trail St. Augustine, Fl to San Diego, Ca

Two years ago we took old US80 from Columbus, Ga to just east of Albuquerque, Nm and the Turquoise Trail north to Santa Fe. returning east through Oklahoma.
This time we'd like to try US 90 from Madison, Fl to Arizona. Has anyone traveled this route, either way, and how was it?
Our trip on US 80 was with a class C, this trip will be towing a TT.
A map of the Old Spanish Trail can be found at:

WWW>americanroads.us/autotrails/OLDSPANISHTRAILMAP.png

Thanks for any and all information you might have.

Thanks Terry that was a much better site than what I had posted. We should be able to plan our "adventure on US90 trip" from your post.
Thanks so much,
