Oregon highway 58

DW and I are pulling a 37' 5er and are looking at Highway 58 from Eugene to 97 as a possible easier route to get to Bend and Sisters this summer. Can anybody tell us what the highway looks like in terms of elevation and the grade to any summits on the route? Thanks!

Wish I could help, but my GPS does most of the navigation. When she is set to scenic in Oregon you never know what road she picks. One road she picked this last summer was a beautiful two lane road (one lane in each direction) new looking white stripe down the middle and huge trees on both sides. We were the only ones on this road for about 90 miles. After that we stuck to non-scenic roads. This summer in Redman Ore. there will be a FMCA Rally in August. This coming summer I will be heading to Florida. deSanford

we live in Oregon and travel 20/22 from salem to bend and hwy 58 as well. it's 6 of one and 1/2 doz of another.... both are good roads, both will get you to the Bend area. Enjoy.

58 has some good grades but I cannot tell you exactly what they are. I did it this past summer in our 40 class A pulling a toad with no trouble. They are working on it and close it overnight with lane closures during the day. I suspect they may still be doing this next summer as well. You should be able to get a highway report online.
