Oregon SR 6 (Wilson River Highway)

Anyone have any experience on Oregon's SR 6 going east from Tillamook? We are planning a trip and hoping not to discover an "oops, shouldn't have tried that road" experience. Our last oops was Colorado route 550 from Silverton to Ouray, busy, winding, sheer drop offs, no shoulders or guard rail. Beautiful country, just couldn't enjoy it.
So, any advice?

Thanks,

Been over it many times with tow behind and no problems at all.
