Biosense, sure hope you let me buy you a beverage when I'm out there this February. It's not everyone that has a scout in the area to scope out RV resorts. I read the reviews on Olive and noted the very things you observed. Why they would purposely design a park with no patio space is beyond me. And un-level at well.
I have stayed at Canyon RV park before and while it was nice, it's a bit rustic. Their monthly rate is a weekly times four. For a senior over 62, that's $270 x 4 = $1080. Includes electric. Olive is $800 plus metered electric. But like you said, it's difficult to avoid traffic down to Ladera Ranch.
Plus I have the toll roads to contend with.

My pleasure to help! Appreciate the offer of the beverage. After a year and a half on the road, a couple of issues arose that necessitated us renting an apartment in Murrieta. We hope to be back to full-timing after the Christmas holidays. Checking out these parks for you gave me the opportunity to visit places I had been curious about, in the case of Olive Street, or hadn't heard of, in the case of Ortega Oaks. If you ever find yourself in need of a good park in the Temecula area, Pechanga is currently the most popular. While it is a good facility, I personally have had it with the lack of enforcement of the rules. While checking out Ortega Oaks, we came across Crane Mobile Home and RV Park in Lake Elsinore. Water front sites situated where Class A's look out over the water. When we visit the area, that's where we will stay during the cooler months. Between Temecula & Escondido, Champagne Lakes has had a lot of renovations recently. Will use it for our warm weather visits.
