I will be traveling to central PA. in a motorhome next month.
Has anyone had any problems parking overnight in a NY or PA rest area ?
Also looking at possibly parking at the PA welcome center off I-84 on the NJ-NY border.

Any input would be appreciated !

go a little farther and overnight at the Mohegan Sun Casino at Pocono Downs..they allow it and great security...Chuck

I've only had one problem and we've parked overnight in rest areas in 15-20 states in the last 15 years.

In Alabama, in '03, a "dumb TRUCKER" pushed the rear of my toad 8' sideways, in the middle of the night, (causing $2,500 damage to my toad and tow-bar).

We have stayed in the I/84 rest area at the border. It is staffed 24 hrs. I asked if we could stay and was told "You look way to tired to drive...park here for the night."
