We just returned from a 6,500 mile trip and I used the app Allstays. We found some of the nicest campgrounds (and state parks) near the highway. I read reviews to find the best places to stop. I live in VA on I81 and there are lots of places along this way.

PA to FL on 81

Jonny.... I-81 doesn't go all the way to FL. You'll need 81 to 77 to 26 to 95. No very high bridges that I recall, though I have no recent time on 95 from SC southward.

There aren't any really big bridges I can think of (except maybe crossing the Potomac River in MD) but there is a big mountain climb on I77 as you go up over into NC. I have done this trip many times and it is a fairly easy trip.

I would take: 81 - 77 - 26 - 95 - 4. You want to avoid Atlanta. It's as bad as DC.

As already mentioned, long grade on 77, but it has a truck lane if you need to run slow.

I agree with bluepill, this is the way I go to FL. Very easy route and you avoid all but major cities except Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC both of which are very manageable.

I agree with the gents above, avoid Atlanta. Drive 100 miles out of your way if you have to and you still won't lose any time - and it'll be far less stressful.
