Pigeon Forge interstate 441/71

One leg of our summer trip will take us from pigeon forge TN to Liberty Hills area of SC. Looking at going through the blue ridge mountains over Hgwy 441/71. Looks pretty curvy. Has anyone done this in their RV that can report on the drive? I'll be driving a 36 foot class A with no toad on that leg of our journey. I then plan on hitting hgwy 19 at Cherokee then back to the 40.

It is "curvy", but it's all good road. While I've not done it in our RV, it should not be a problem for you in your 34' rig. There will be a number of 180 degree switchbacks, just be mindful of traffic and you should be good.

I would avoid 19 between Cherokee and 40, however, in your motorhome. Drop down to 74 (the Smokey Mountain Expressway). Still very scenic but 4 lanes, no white knuckle sections.

Just did 441 in my 42 Revolution with the HHR connected, not a issue. Just take your time going down and enjoy. We went from Cherokee to GB Tn.

If I was headed to SC I would consider 40 east to 26 at Ashville. It is very beautiful road on 40 from TN to Ashville and the road is easier to drive. Like someone else said, if you take the parkway to Cherokee, stay on 441 until you come to 74 and head east. Don't take 19 (nice with a car but not with a MH).
