Hi All, Thinking of our first road trip in our new to us RV. Traveling from Plymouth to Dover and staying only for truck race on Friday eve.
Most likely leave Ply Thursday AM and boondock for Thursday and get to track Friday AM for race day. Then possibly continue to Nashville for a coiple days.
OR do in reverse. Anyne have an input on this adventure??
Thanks, Ed

Ed, born and reared in DE and lived 33 years in MA. My route would be MA Pike to Sturbridge; I-84 to I-87 (NY Thruway); to I-287 to NJ Turnpike; to DE Memorial Bridge; to U.S. 13 to U.S. 1 to Dover. At exit 2C on NJTP there is a Flying J where you can boondock and they have good fuel prices and you would be less than 2 hours from Dover.

If I were going on to Nashville after the races, I would backtrack and go North on U.S. 1 to I-95 south to I-595 around Baltimore as you can not go through the Balt. Harbor Tunnel with propane. I-695 will lead you to I-70 west to I-81 south to I-40 west. Approaching Knoxville you can grab I-640 beltway which will rejoin I-40 on the west side of Knoxville and then on to Music City USA, good luck and safe travels, Ken, '04 DSDP....

Ed,
As bad as 95 can be, coming from Plymouth, I'd take I-95 to I-287 across Tappanzee Bridge then Garden State Parkway to NJTP to DE Memorial Bridge to US 13 to US 1 to Dover.

To avoid part of I-95 you could take MA Pike to I-84, but at Hartford, I'd recommend you take I-91 south and pick up I-95 around New Haven.

I know 95 is a bear at times but we've often overnighted at Mohegan and leave there about 8 to 8:30 and make out fairly well.

BTW - welcome to irv2.
