Punta Gorda Florida to NE Indiana

Starting our annual trip to NE Indiana around Sept 5th. We have always went up I75 but it was so rough last year we are thinking about taking I24 west from I75 to Nashville then North up I65. I'm concerned about the climb up I24 to Mont Eagle with my F53 Ford 460 Gasser and Toad. We have went thru there many times by car but never with the MH, any thoughts.

I totally recommend that route. We came back that way a couple years ago (we stayed at Live Oak in Arcadia and traveled home to Byron Center MI,) with our class C with a Triton V10 towing our Ford Flex and had no trouble at all. Made that trip many times. I think it will be fine.

Appreciate the thought. I'm antsy about it, passed many trucks just barely crawling the West-bound side.

Blew up the West bound side of Monteagle without a problem. When we started the climb I turned off the overdrive and ran the whole thing in high gear @3000 rpm. Temperature only increased a needle width right at first and held there the distance, if the fan kicked in I never heard it. Proud of the old girl, was not sure what to expect, celebrated with $160 dollars worth of $3.06 HESS gas at the top.

The hard part of your trip is navigating the construction around Louisville. Good luck.

YES!!! Had to go way over West on 264 then across Ohio River, then back on 265. What are they doing, is the bridge closed?

Actually the worst was the "cobblestone" areas of I65 and I69, Terrible!!!!
