Question Requesting Routing Information

Later this month we have 8 days to drive the 1000 miles between Washington, IL and Dunseith, ND. We plan to go through Madison, WI, Minneapolis, MN, Fargo, ND, Grand Forks, ND then over to Dunseith. I will be driving the bus and pulling the tent trailer.

Once we get into Wisconsin this will all be new territory for us. Any suggestions along the route on things to see, places to park, food to eat, sights that we just can not pass up?

One thing we do want to do at some point is park the bus and trailer in a RV Park and drive the car into Canada for a day or two. Any ideas on the best place to do this? It would be an easy drive to Winnepeg from Grand Forks but is there a better place? International Falls or some where else? I know next to nothing about the area. The only place we have crossed into Canada is above Glacier National Park.

I have about two weeks to loosely plan the route. Thanks in advance for your ideas and first hand experience.

I am a little confused ... driving bus, pulling tent trailer, drive car ... I have a hard time picturing this configuration ...

Do you have passports? ... you now need passports to re-enter the US ...

What do you like to see? historic sites, touristy destinations, beautiful state parks, scenic highways ...

Where do you like to stay? rv resorts, county parks, national forest campgrounds, boondock
