Hi there!
The 7 heading north into Burlington is also known as the Old Shelburne Road. Avoid quitting time (traffic lights and commuters) and check a Vermont events calendar. We went through on the way down to Button Bay SP during a summer fair type thing and it took us an extra hour. If you're in no hurry, there are lots of shops and restaurants along the way!

Route 7 (four lane) by passes Manchester. Just be sure you stay on 7 in Bennington, not 7A.
