Need the best route from Rock Springs Wy.#80 heading up to Casper Wy. Which route is best for me pulling 28ft. TT w/HD Diesel. Either 287/220 or 30/287/487. Will be heading up on Wed. 6/30/2010. Thank You. Albert.

80 West to Rt. 287 to Rt. 220.

I've done the 80 and 287 portions and the road is fine. From looking at Google Maps Streetview, the 220 portion looks good too.

We've driven US-287/SR-220 route between Rawlins and Casper and the road was fine. If you haven't seen it, stop and visit Independence Rock on SR-220 about 20 miles or so from the junction of US-287 and SR-220.
