Rogers AR to Fort Smith AR?

Is old 71 bad for an old gasser with no breaks or should I take 49 down to Fort Smith.

I did old 71 in my youth as a trucker but don't really remember is being bad grads or switch backs. I'm thinking with less traffic now it would be a fun drive???

Arkansas HY 71

Ok a review for HY 71 in western Arkansas! For those that are in a hurry to get to there reservations. If you want to find a very rewarding drive try HY 71 in western Arkansas. The Boston Mountains and the Ouachita Mountains. HY 71 is easy to travel, in the Boston Mountains area as there is a new by pass in the area now. The Ouachita Mountains is little more traffic but if you run it during the week it was very doable. If you don't have time to do it yourself check out our blog.

That's where we live. I've been on both with MH's and school buses for close to 30 years. Both are beautiful and very doable with either. The new I-49 is spectacular and with but 2-3 billboards it's entire length, about 70 miles it is worth the drive.
