Route 20 from West Yellowstone to Idaho Falls

How is route 20 from West Yellowstone, MT down to Idaho Falls? We are looked at interesting routes to get over to Boise then to Junction City, OR.

It's a very nice easy drive. Going on to Boise it's a good road but windy and desolate, Jean doesn't like it. It goes through Craters of the Moon NP. Where it splits with US 26, in Carey, I prefer to take 26 to I/84, 20 gets steep and curvy, but no real challenge..

Lots of potatoes...back side of the Tetons if it's clear. Good road. A short bit of construction coming down off the plateau, nothing major.

Is 20 from Bend to 126 over the Santiam Pass doable in a 35' gas motorhome?

Thanks Cousin Ed,
I remember a white knuckle experience going thru that area driving a Subaru wagon full of kids - but I think they took me down a seasonal back road!
