Route 20 Washington State
We are planning a trip to the pacific northwest for late August - early September. Any advice on traveling eastbound on route 20 from Omak to Burlington, Washington. Traveling in a class C gas 32 ft MH, not towing. Steep grades? Switchbacks?

First off if you travel East from Omak to Burlington, you can not do it in a Motor home. there would be to many bridges to build. On the other hand The North Cascade pass is a beautiful drive. You will have no problem in a class C. I have driven it many times in a 40' DP.
I took a 25' class C with Toad across it to Expo 86 in BC. Was across it this year in June and there was snow in places.
There are numerous small towns as you approach the west end. Winthrop on the east side is a fun place to visit. There are hills to climb and curves to be had, just a NW kind of road. Sit back and enjoy the trip. You might want to use Google Earth and take a look.
And Welcome to iRV2!

How about route 20 from Kettle Falls to Tonasket in a 35' DP towing a Jeep and continuing on 20 as wgb is?

Haven't done it with our A but have done it in the past with smaller vehicles. Roads are 2 lane but very scenic. We live about a mile off 20 on Whidbey Island.
You both will do fine. Enjoy the trip. Oh, and there are lots of fruit stands along the way, if you are coming soon, cherries should be available.

Again 2 lane but good road, up over Sherman Pass ~5500 ft. Republic is a nice little western town. We live 60 miles south of Kettle Falls on Lake Roosevelt.
WA has cameras on the passes so you can watch for traffic and weather. http://www.wsdot.com/traffic/passes/sherman/

Disclaimer I like mountain rds. We drove the Million Dollar Highway (RT 550 CO) last year just for kicks in the MH towing a minivan. From Grand Junction to ABQ.

We almost ODed on cherries when we went to Glacier a couple of years ago. We went up the east coast of Flathead Lake on 35 and finally found a fruit stand where we could stop. O.M.G. SOOOO GOOD! So was the cherry wine.
We'll be on 20 in WA maybe the 2nd week or so of August. Save some for us!

We took it to Newport a few years ago and almost ODed on cherries too. We probably stopped five times to restock.
Cherries may be hard to find by August but you will find other fruits like apricots.

No concerns with the road. It is windy and twisty but it is fine. You won't get much of chance to be bored on it however.
