Several years ago we used Rt 36 in northern MO and it was really rough and bumpy headed west from Macon to Saint Joseph.

Has anyone been west bound on Rt 36 in MO recently to give road pavement condition update?

Any reports would be appreciated so we can decide between Rt 36 or I-70/I-29.
Thanks.

Ron, we did the same thing. The guy at the desk at a welcome center told us there was roadwork going on in Kansas City and it was wall to wall traffic. He suggested we use 36 instead. Worst day I have ever spent in Missouri (and I have been tied up in St Louis rush hour traffic)
Never again! The MH was banged and knocked so bad on that road that I figured we would have a ton of repairs to do after we got to Hannibal. Turns out there was work in Hannibal as well and we ended up turning right and ended up crossing the Mississippi in St Louis.
If you do use 36, let us know how you find it.
