Route 50 West to East in NV

Any suggestions or recommendations for traveling Route 50 through NV would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure which direction you are headed but I can tell you that I have traveled US 50 many times in the past. It is a very good road but you must be careful as it is called"THE LONLIEST ROAD IN AMERICA" across Nevada. The gas stations are few and far apart. There is a nice RV Park in Fallon, NV with FHU. Just make sure you have plenty of fuel and water as you will cross the high desert. It is a pretty straight road without a lot of scenery.

It's a lovely, quiet, go-at-your-pace kind of drive. Drive on the top half of your fuel tank and enjoy the trip!

I have driven the route several times in RV's and even bicycled it once from Lake Tahoe to the Utah border. I always thing traveling across Nevada from west to east or vice versa is a beautiful trip because you are crossing over many ranges and every 5 mi. the scenery changes if you pay attention. There are no really steep climbs except out of Austin but it is quick. I would drive our rv that way again in a heartbeat.
