Route Advice

Taking a Thor Ace 30.1 from Colorado to Rapid City SD. So has anyone made this trip? Would like to know what route might be best, you know less hills, less wind, RV parks ect. Thanks

You're very likely to have wind in Wyoming. Watch weather reports, camp if it's too windy for you.

Colorado is a big state, you didn't specify where in Colorado. I-25 north to just past Cheyenne, exit 17 take US 85 N to Lusk, WY. Then follow US 18 to SD 79. This is the shortest route, although you miss all of the Black Hills.

I've gone the other way from Rapid City to Denver SD-79, US-18, I-25 and would go that way again.

I Google Mapped your route, they have 3 recommendations. My opinion is to avoid Interstates and mainly use US & State Routes. But most Folks are on time constraints and need to get from Point A to Point B rapidly, if this is your case I would take Busskippers advise.
