Route from PA to Clinton CT

We're leaving Hickory Run SP in White Haven PA to go to Clinton CT on our way to Bar Harbor. Is there a problem going I80E to I-287N to I-95? Or, is there a better way?

Thanks for your help.

I-95 is pretty rough, lots of traffic. You could go a bit further north to I-84 east till you get to Rt 9 (south) and that would avoid a lot of trouble. Rt 9 will end on I-95 much closer to Clinton.
