Route from West Chester Pa to Florida miss tunnels

Hi Guys:

I have to take the coach in for some warranty work to West Chester Pa. I want to leave for Titusville FL afterwards.
What is the best route to take to miss the tunnels in Baltimore on I95 that don't allow propane tanks to go through.

We take the Francis Scott Key bridge to avoid the tunnels in Baltimore. It's on 695, follow the signs to exit from 95. After crossing, just head back to 95.

I agree with Bill_3rd. The east side of I-695 around Baltimore will avoid both tunnels in Baltimore (95 and 895). There is a toll, however traffic is usually lighter on that side vs. the west side of 695.

However, a lot of people will take 301 south out of the West Chester area. This lets you skip Baltimore and DC. It has traffic lights and is generally a 2 lane (in each direction) road.

Here's a route that shows it:

I live in south jersey and use that 301 route because I enjoy the drive. When you get below Annapolis you go thru some towns but thats fine plus plenty of places to stop if you need stuff or want to eat. You cross the Potomac further south and can get back around to Int 95 anywhere along the route if you want. we use cracker barrels for overnites so we head back towards 95. Safe journey.
