Route Info

We're going to be taking our 40' coach from Apache Jct, AZ to Lansing, MI the first week of May. We'll be taking I10 through NM to El Paso, TX. At that point we have to decide to either stay on I10 or head NE on I20. Which route is better? Is the traffic around Ft Worth/Dallas a negative? This is not a sightseeing trip, we really just need to get to Michigan before May 11th.

I-10 would be a long way out of the way. I'd go I-10 to I-20 near Kent, TX to I-30 at Fort Worth, TX to I-40 at Little Rock, then north on your choice of I-55, I-65 or I-75.

Or pick up I-40 in Arizona and take it instead.

We've taken I40 many times in our toad, never with the coach. Just concerned about the weather right now through OK and MO.

We all know how weather changes daily. I would really keep a watch out for I-40 forecasts around your leaving time and go for it. It's the very best way to Michigan.

If you do the southern route you could still have weather problems from Dallas through Arkansas and you'll have a lot more congested cities to get through.

Thanks for the encouragement. We're going to go for it on I40. It really is the best route.
