I am planning a trip to Nashville from Fror Washington PA. I was thinking of taking a more scenic route then the PA turnpike. My plan was to go out US 30 and down PA 116 and PA 194 from Spring Grove, PA to Harpers Ferry. I was wondering if anyone had used this route, (116 or 194), and is it suitable for a Motorhome pulling a Toad?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Pat, here is the scoop on 116/194. First of all you will go thru STINKY Spring Grove where the paper plant is.....Close and a "downtown" area. Then I think you will have to pick up Rt. 94 to get to 194. You will pick up Rt. 94 in Hanover. Busy town with lots of shopping / restaurants. Larry says to tight for him to travel this way. (Wide body) Unless you have brass B****! Why don't you look at Rt. 30 to Rt. 15 S You pick it up before Gettysburg. Good luck

Thanks Sue,
I looked at your suggestion and it certainly looks like a better choice.

Thanks for the reply.

We travel 15 from just south of Harrisburg to virginia on a regular basis. It is an easy drive and scenic. Much better with a RV.
