Rt 40 Arizona

Hi all, We are leaving Santa Fe tomorrow heading to Palm Springs Ca. And was wondering about road conditions on Rt 40 through Flagstaff and South on Rt 17 I just am afraid to be stuck in snow.

I 40 status

If you go to www.AZ511.gov/ you will find the latest updates on the highways through Arizona. Click on "statewide map - cameras / delays and more" and you will see a map of Arizona roads. There are cameras along I 40 that will show you exactly what is happening!

Today there is snow around Flagstaff, but only rain elsewhere.

The forecast is for more snow, so you are wise to continue to check the status. I 40 is shut down for weather fairly often!

Right now is a bad time to be driving through Northern Arizona due to snow, rain, and ice.

Thanks for that site, I will keep checking until we head out, if things look rough we will just head south on 25 to 10 and head out that way.
