Summersville Dam area is beautiful. Several nice campgrounds adjacent to the lake. We prefer Mountain Lake campground. We tow the jet skis behind the camper, launch them on the boat ramp, then tie them on the shore by our campsite while we are there.

Summersville dam is 5 miles from my house. you can dry camp for free below the dam anytime. The camp ground is open just before memorial day in may and closes after labor day is sept. each fall they draw the lake down for the rafters then about april let it start to fill up again. so beautiful places to see around here also for more info just let me know will do what ui can to help

About an hour north of Summersville is Weston. Great park at Stonewall Resort. Book early as it's small and fills fast.
