RV Camping near Boston/Salem

Hi! We are new to this community! Has anyone stayed in the Boston or Salem area? We are looking for a fairground or something similar. Trying to keep cost to a minimum and only need electric. Looking to stay a week.

RV Camping near Boston/Salem

As long as you don't need sewer, check out Winter Island Park in Salem. Not really a campground, not very woodsie, but right on the water on Salem Harbor (an old Coast Guard Station) across from Marblehead. They have water and electric- some 30A and some 50A. They close near the end of October.

I had checked into this last month because it was the only place I could find in/around Salem and they had 3 nights available. Still looking for options for Oct 28-Nov1.

RV Camping near Boston/Salem

The only other places I know of that will be open at that time are along I-495, about 35 - 40 miles or so out of Boston.
1) Circle CG Farm Campground in Bellingham, MA,
2) Normandy Farms, in Foxborough;
These two stay open year 'round. Circle CG is a campground; Normandy Farms is a resort. We've used the Circle CG for a few years.
3) Boston/Cape Cod KOA in Middleborough, MA. Nice place with roomy sites. They close Nov 15.

After checking into all these options, I have found that everything closes there for the season between mid September and mid October. Winter Island closes Nov 1, which I assume is because of the popularity of Salem as a Halloween destination, but they are full.
Thank you for all of the responses!

Well that certainly is interesting!! Here we are well past mid-Oct and the Circle CG appears to still be open. My reservation here is through November 30, and all the folks I've gotten to know who work here seem to think they're open through the winter!

Normandy Farms is only open til Nov 1 as well.
They used to be open all year. Cape Ann campsites is a park in Gloucester , closer to Salem but I don't know when they close for the season.
The only one I know of that is open all year is Circle CG.

PS if you are an Elk, apparrently the Wakefield Elks has parking- no dump though. You need to be an Elk.

That's a new one! Normandy used to be year 'round.
Their website now says closed Dec 1.

I misspoke. We looked into areas that are 45 minutes or less so I should not have made a blanket statement. Checked Salisbury and Gloucester from campmass.com, as was recommended by the folks at Winter Island. I had asked my husband to look into Bellingham and Foxbourough and I took his word, never looking for myself. Our intention is to be in Salem over the Halloween weekend, so driving the truck back and forth 2 hours everyday seems too much. Was just poor planning on our part. We are learning as we go. I apologize for causing confusion. I really do appreciate your help!

I only looked at 2, 4, 8 &9 on the map. These were all closed for the season. We are planning to head back toward home after Halloween and are finding that a majority of the NE parks, in our Thousand Trails network and others, are closed after Oct 31. It's made leaving the area in the direction we wanted to go, a bit more challenging. Once we get a bit further south west, it's no longer an issue.

In what direction did you want to go? We've departed MA in late fall a few times.
