Salt Lake City Bypass?

headed South from Montana soon and hate the traffic between Ogden and Provo--anyone know of a way around that area without adding too many miles to the trip? (Going to Page, AZ) If no way around, any suggestions on day or time to miss some of the traffic?

I would think anytime after the morning or before the evening rush hour would not be to bad.As always city traffic is busy, but I have driven through several times post rush hour and traffic did not seem to be to bad.

Pull out of northen Utah (Ogden) on Sunday AM around 9:00 and head south. You should be through Provo by 11. Miss most of the traffic. At least that is what I remember when I lived on SLC several years ago.

Otherwise, plan on similar timing any day of the week. Between 9 and 3 should be pretty light traffic. Unless someone decides to do the nasty crash, then who knows....
