If you know the numbering system, you can actually get around without a map.

Non rush hour traffic when there isn’t a lot of construction it generally takes me about 2.5 hours and you can generally drive 60 to 70 most of the time. During rush hour you can easily double the time, lot of complete stop and crawl to stop, zoom, stop.

If there has been an accident in the northern part of that congestion zone, I-15 to the legacy parkway reconnecting to I 15 in kaysville is often the better choice. I-215 tends to jam up a lot like I-15 but the legacy portion doesn’t unless there is a crash.
I have the understanding that large vehicles (trucks and possibly MH) are prohibited from the Parkway. Also found the speed limit was lower than the interstate.

The truck limit for the legacy is 5 axles or more or GVWR 80,000 lbs or more. The signs restricting trucks is electronic and when there are issues on I-15 the no truck red circle turns green. The speed limit is 55 mph vs 70 for I-15, and legacy meanders somewhat. It does tend to get quite a bit lighter traffic though making it quicker sometimes, provided you’re using it in conjunction with I-215. The way the south legacy interchange is set up doesn’t work well to connect to I-15 on that end of the legacy.
