Question San Antonio Friday Rush Hour

I will be traveling west on I-10 on Friday and will likely hit San Antonio around 4-5pm. What kind of delay might rush hour traffic cause at that time? If it is going to be slow going, I was thinking of stopping at the Walmart on Foster Rd for supplies and letting traffic die down.

Just guessing that this Friday will have heavier traffic than usual because of Memorial Day weekend. Yea, I would pull over and use that time to get supplies and carb up. If you can squeeze in the time, might just get a place for the night and bus into downtown and visit the river walk and eat there. Always like San Antonio as a place to visit. Happy Trails.
