San Diego, Ca to Sequoia NP, Ca

What's the best route between San Diego and Highway 180 into Sequoia/Kings Canyon NP?
Also, any information as far as accessability and manueverability in Lodgepole Campground in the NP.
Have Dodge 1 ton dually, pulling a 36 ft. travel trailer.
Thanks in advance.

Steve

I 15 to Ca 395 to Ca 58 to Ca 99 to Hwy 180. Avoids the LA basin traffic. One good climb on 15, mostly 2 lane on 395 and downgrade on Tehachipi Pass. I use this route annually when I spend Jan. in San Diego. I stay outside of the park so no knowledge of campground.

63 is a good road through Cutler and Orosi. At Orange Cove the road narrows a bit and starts the climb to Squaw Valley.
