Need suggestions on where to stay and what not to miss. We will have a week on our way to our granddaughters. Should be 3 days of driving based on miles. What do you think?

Well mackinaw island good stop-- Frankenmuth Mi great stop. Bronner's Christmas store there --jellystone RV park right in town. Lots of shops & food at both the above. Henry Ford museum - Dearborn Mi. Not sure what part of NY you are going. Niagara Falls ? I guess I'm assuming your going thru Michigan not Canada.

No, we are coming up through Michigan. In Traverse City area now. Moving up to the U.P. this weekend, then into Canada.

We just spent a few hours at the Soo locks, in Sault Ste-Marie. Watch the "Great Lake Ships" squeeze thru.

You can call for a schedule of ship's arrivals and although metered there are a few RV parking spaces.

At the locks there is a city campground just east of the locks. Campground is right along the waterway going to or coming from the locks. You can watch the 1000' freighters and other boats move along right from your RV campsite.
