Silver City,NM to Holbrook,AZ ?

We are towing a 28' 5th wheel and wondering about taking Rt. 180 from Silver City to St. Johns and Holbrook. It avoids Tucson and Phoenix is the attraction. We're headed from Deming,NM to Boise,ID.
Thanks for any advice.

I did that route a few years ago in a 34' MH pulling a trailer. A few narrow roads but no problem.

I used to haul my 26' 5er using that route going to Springerville. Not a problem.

We spend our winter in Cochise County AZ.....just west of you in Deming. We do the drive from there to Wallowa County OR every year and then reverse....thus two times a year. The trick is to drive through the city (SLC-Las Vegas or Tucson) on a Sunday morning...early. The route we like is I 10 west through Tucson (not so bad) then keep south of Phx on I 8 to California side of the Colorado River....then north to Needles and Searchlight NV.....through Las VEgas on early Sunday AM.....then up through Ash Springs and Lund and then to Boise......good roads less traffic
seen towing a 1936 Bently to car shows with a 1953 Vincent Black Shadow to humiliate the Harley Davidson crowd.....trout killer and birder....there are no bad days
