Sioux Falls to Dallas

Getting ready to head down to Dallas from Sioux Falls. Anyone have any knowledge of US HWY 81? How much of it is 4 lane? Will be driving in the day time only.

Check it out on Google maps. You can see how many lanes.
Don't know about condition. Someone else might.

My wife and I took 81 from San Antonio back to our home in Watertown last December. We werenít pulling a camper then but we did drive it again in April from El Reno, OK, pulling our Winnebago Micro Minnie. I remember some of it as 4 lane but most of it was not. The road was in very good condition and relatively lightly traveled. Iím not sure about flooding conditions in Nebraska right now but it would be worth checking to see how 81 faring given that I think parts of it were closed a while back.

81 is mostly 2-lane. I doubt that you'd find RV parks open this time of year.

Taking I-20/75 to Topeka and then 335/35 is 840 miles.

Taking 81 to Wichita then I-35 is 831 miles
