I just checked again this morning (NC DOT) and see that there are a couple of exists off I95 south closed but those are exists, not the 195 highway itself.
Just FYI, things are starting to look better for 95.

We have also been watching the I95 situation. We travel every year from central NY to the Florida Keys and make some stops along the way. This year we had planned Murrells Inlet SC for a couple of weeks, Savannah for one, and then a couple of stops in Florida on the way. We were supposed to leave last Friday
The CG at Murrells Inlet reopens next week, Savannah CG close for a month and I95 was detoured. We have rearranged our stops and postponed departure but will get there anyway.
My point is that you need to watch the weather and try to be flexible. I'm not so good at the flexible part and it's making me nuts with all the changing of stays and times. DW is my rock taking care of all of the changes.
Be wary of your fuel. It's not always easy to just jump off and fuel up in metro areas with a MH and there can be stretches of no truck stop size filling stations. Good to have enough to run the generator for a while just in case. We also fill the fresh water before leaving in case we need to shower if we get stuck. I sounds like a lot of weight but in the scheme of things in a big MH it's not that much.
Every trip I still get butterflies in my stomach until we get a few miles in but then it all becomes old hat again and we enjoy the trip. You will too.
