Southern California to LHC, AZ

We have a trip this coming February, to LHC. We were considering hauling out empty. Does anyone know of any locations around the 40 or 95 that have fresh water fillups? Or even within LHC?

We will be staying at Sara Park for a special event. They have a dump and water service, but not sure if it's potable water.

There is a health food store in Parker AZ, that ; last year anyway; has an out side tap for RV fill ups,$$. If your planing on drinking the water from your fresh tank. I'll see if I can find the address.

REMEMBER; If you're are planning on going through Vidal Junction then heading towards LHC, that RV's are not allowed across , Parker Dam, you must enter AZ at Parker, then drive, Parker to LHC on the AZ side of the river.

Many GPS programs still have the route across Parker Dam as do-able for RV's but they have not been allowed since 9/11.

Sorry.
Note to self , carefully re-read questions before posting.

Avoid having to buy fuel in , Needles CA. most expensive in the state. JMHO.

Loves Service center at the I-40 / 95 Junction has, RV pumps , I'll Google the location to see if they have water available. I can't think of any spots , entering LHC, along 95 that advertise RV water available. Dozens of locations to fill 5 gal jugs with filtered water.

No worries, as there are at least 2 different routes I could take from where we live in Norco, we just like the 40 due to the 2 rest stops when they are open.

I usually top my diesel off before leaving, and make it to LHC, on about 1/2 a tank, but this will be our first trip with our new to us WW FS3000. I hope I can make it to the 40 and 95 (Pilot or Loves) before needing fuel.

Winter Blast?...If they are providing water, I would be really surprised if it was non potable water...no one should ever put non potable water in their water tank. You risk all sorts of possible health issues and I'm sure they are aware of that. It just wouldn't be worth the risk (on their part) to offer it.

Yes for Winter Blast. We have used the dump service before with a friends RV, and our rental. I had left before they got water, I just can't recall if it was fresh. I know they were later filling 5 gal water jugs and filling the trailer later that night

Oh good to know. I'm pretty sure it's the same guy that comes over to the Sara Park camping area? Or Rodeo grounds have their own water?

Thank you, I appreciate that.

Oh sorry. I know you said Sara Park but I was thinking the Rodeo since that is the only one I've been to. Since the camping areas are so close, I would imagine they have contracted with the same company to provide the water.

No need to be sorry. You are probably correct. We are members of the WPA, so we are camped out in the main lot.

All the previous years, we have rented a trailer from Havasu rentals, and they have taken care of trailer prep. But the cost to rent, is same a 6 months of payments on the used trailer I bought.

We figured not filling all 120 gallons of water, and 40 gallons of fuel would be easier on our 250 mile drive.

All water deliveries in camping areas are done with potable water so not to worry.
