Ok , that totally worked. Took the Coaster into the city from the CG in Oceanside , spent half a day at the Maritime Museum. Awesome , sailing ships and subs , including a Cold War era Russian attack sub. Tons of history , really fun.

another day trip to San Diego with your bike

morning: the Midway (aircraft carrier) just south of the maritime museum

afternoon: grab the coronado ferry (near the maritime museum) then bike over to Hotel Del Coronado and then south on the silver strand ...

on your return have dinner at the Fish Market restaurant next to the Midway ... excellent seafood and a nice choice of local beers

Balboa Park Balboa Park | A landscape of Arts and Culture has some great exhibits and I believe the Coaster will take you there also. We loved the Train Museum San Diego Model Railroad Museum | Balboa Park

San Diego was tons of fun , could have spent a week there. Seaport Village was fun , and just riding around on the waterfront. It was windy , so lots of sailboats out. Headed north already , at Pismo Beach today , headed for Sac.

Woke up Wed. Morning in Bend,Or 30 degrees and snowing lightly, vaca must be nearly over :( Back in Spokane now , raining heavily. Can I go back to SoCal. Only good thing is gas at the local discount outlet was $3.52 gal regular. That's a bunch better than Cali. All in all an awesome trip , and nothing broke )
