Spring at Last

Well it is finally that time of year again. We will be in Clearwater from 14th March and heading north with a blank canvas and 3 weeks to see the Florida panhandle, Louisiana, and Alabama, or as far as we get! We have to be back in Clearwater the beginning of April. We would like to stay away from freeways and keep local where possible. Whenever people have asked for information on this forum the response has been fantastic, so here we go - any advice, experiences or recommendations gratefully received.

Check out Apalichacola Fl about 40 mi east of Panama City on Hwy 98. Cool little oyster fishing village with some nice downtown shops. Ho-Hum RV park in Carabelle, Fl has some beautiful gulf side spots. St George Island is also nice with a state park campground - not a lot to do other than biking, hiking but beautiful.
