SR 431 from Aniston, AL to Huntsville, AL
Should I go up the SR431 or should I go further south to Birmingham and go up the I-65 to Huntsville?

I have not traveled 431 in a while but used to travel it all the time when I drove truck through there. You can go as far north as you choose then just cut over to I-65 where ever you choose the farther north you go the closer you get to 65. 431 goes to Huntsville.

That sounds encouraging. I'm just not wanting to pull a lot of grade if I don't have to. I think the route will be a lot more scenic than going down and picking up 65 out of BHam.

........Good summary Driver, and yes it was the tail end of the Tornado that left Alabama and went through Ringgold Georgia just south of Chattanooga. We went through Ringgold just a few days after it happened, unbelieavable damage.
We stopped @ your new WalMart fuel stop in Conway while leaving Oceanlakes last week, sure did like the $3.44 gas price. Travel safe and be carefull.
