St. Louis to Charleston, South Carolina

Leaving next Friday for our first trip in our new to us DP.

We have 4-5 days to make this trip and am looking for best route info and places to stay and things to see along the route.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

You will probably go through Ashville, NC so a stop at the Biltmore House is a must. Also, the new visitor center at the south end of the Blue Ridge Parkway is worth a visit, as is the parkway itself. Check NC DOT for conditions on Interstate 40 as it is occasionally closed or restricted due to rock slides.
