Through Texas it is fine, although the obligatory construction will be there in some spots. In Oklahoma the road can be a little rough, but it gets better the further south you go. You should have no problems.

We traveled that recently , & have many times, we live in STL, daughter lives in Mansfield, TX.
It's not a bad route. There is a stretch going south there the right lane is a washboard for awhile . We just move to left lane if there's no other traffic .

Since you are going to Mansfield, you can stay on I-44 and take I-35 South.

We've gone that way too, adds about an hour , not counting the construction on 35w north of Fort Worth

St. Louis to Dallas

If you take I44 take into account the cost of the tolls. With that being said I have been down 69 numerous times as our son lives in Ft. Worth. It is a pretty decent road with some rough spots in some places.

Smoother but longer way to go is I44 to OK City then south on I35. The other option is I44 to Hwy 75 S, this isn't a bad ride, but at times you wonder WTH the money went to. It gets worse in places on the Indian Nation turnpike. Like somebody up top said, if you can drive in left lane when there is no traffic, do it. Tulsa to Dallas good 6 hours. I've made it faster in a car..but in a MH whole different ballgame.
