State Hwy 84?

Final countdown to leave Florida again and head back west. Seems like so much to do after sitting here all winter. Pulling out Monday. This time taking the back roads instead of boring I-10. Going to take State Hwy 84 out of Bainbridge, Ga and travel on it through Texas and then up through Hobbs, NM over to Carlsbad, NM. Might be a mistake but I as so tired of I-10. No hurry so we can wander all we want. Don't have a thing to do until September when we return to workcamp at the City of Rocks SP in New Mexico for next winter. Anyone traveled this route before? Any advice?

So many forget that it is the journey and not the destination. I would check my resources to identify places of interest, businesses with free tours, and special sights to photograph.
