Can you suggest a decent place to stop for a nights sleep somewhere in the ILL area say the general area including or between Bloomington and Peru perhaps?

Again, thank you all,

Just past I57, on I 74, is the TIN CUP RV park. Easy on/off. It is in Mahatma, il. We stayed at the Country Roads, in Lake Delton. Near all the stuff in the Dells.

1/2hr east of Bloomington on 74, MM155 is a rest area (both E/W bound)
A Loves at MM149 on 74
There's a Pilot at MM24 on 39N that's about half way between Bloomington & Peru

Funny tid-bit, there's a Cedar Point just S of Peru; however, no roller coasters that I could see.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

a good place to stop in Illinois, is the TIN CUP, on I 74, just a bit Northwest of I 57, in Mahatma. We stayed there, and wi fi is available if you park close to the office. Last week we stayed at the Country Roads rv park, in Lake Delton, Wi. Near all the things to do in the Dels. It caters to mainly adults.
If you want to go all the way to Bloomington, there is a nice county park on exit 8 on I39. Lake Comlara. or Evergreen lake, forgot which it is.

Com Lara is a state or county park just north of Bloomington, Il on I 39N. A good friend stays there often and likes it a lot, small lake, fishing, etc.
