Thanksgiving Get Away Ideas

Looking for suggestions/ideas as to a destination.

We have 5 days available to go somewhere over the Thanksgiving holiday and would like to keep the travel to no more than 200 miles one way from Stockton Ca. Recommendations?

Pacifica has a great campground right on the ocean. Nice walking trail along the coast, easy walk in to town for great fish and chips. Short ride to Half Moon Bay and to San Fran. If you drive around the bottom of the bay, you can stop at the Winchester House in San Jose.

Pismo Beach might be just a bit over 200 miles from you. When we lived in the Bay Area we loved to escape down there. Lots of places to explore - SLO, Solvang, etc. Or, if you'd rather head north, what about Lake Shasta?

That was one of the things we really enjoyed about living in CA. Lots of places to explore. Hope this helps you find a great holiday destination.

Found this when looking in the San Francisco area and thought it looked like it had a nice assortment of choices for RV parks in the Wine Country area.

Like the one at Pacifica but spent two weeks next to the ocean at Coos Bay this summer so got my ocean quota this year.

Considered going to Cisco Grove off highway 80 and taking the Quads and doing some riding but concerned about the weather at that elevation.

Currently I don't have a toad to get around so that is a limiting factor as well.

Still looking.
