The website Mel mentioned is the best resource. The GRR is a wonderful drive. It can be somewhat hilly & twisty in the northern sections, but nothing to worry about. As you travel south, the becomes flatter, and sometimes wanders further from the river. However, adventures can be found; we stopped for lunch in Clarksville MO. several years ago, and blundered into the little city park where they were setting up for a chili festival the next day. One conversation led to another, time passed, we were invited to test the purity of samples from the Budweiser trailer, invited to camp for the night in the driveway of the town tourism director, and stayed for the festival the next day. One of those wonderful memories that stay with you...
